About Nature Spirit Earth Market
We are a local, islander owned store, committed to serving and supporting our community! Nature Spirit Earth Market opened on June 20th, 2015, here on beautiful Gabriola Island, British Columbia. The dream was to provide natural health through body, mind and spirit to Gabriola Islanders and visitors alike. We are grateful to be part of a small community within the traditional territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation.

Owen (left) started out hanging out at the store after school, waiting for Mom to be done work, and is now 4th in the Engst line to work regularly in the store!
Alex (He/They/She) is now co-owner and 3rd in the family line to work at the store. They are produce manager as well as responsible for a lot of the body care, crystals, and other metaphysical products we carry.
Charlene (right) was here in the beginning, left for a few years but has been the "love and light" of the store, the welcoming spirit that everyone knows. She took the big step and is now co-owner of the store as well!
Kelly has extensive experience working in natural food stores including managing one in Tofino. She joined us this past May and works with a lot of our local suppliers.

Allie started in the midst of Covid 2021 though it feels like she's been here longer. Allie is a foodie and an experienced chef. If you have questions about being Celiac she's a good person to talk to. She does a lot of our "fresh" food ordering as well as bulk.

Moe is heavily involved in the supplement side of things and behind the scenes advertising. She is a registered acupuncturist with on-island practice days Mondays and Wednesdays.
Katie "Sweet as the honey she orders" is part of the weekend crew. Quiet and efficient she keeps the store well stocked with a good selection of meats and honey.

A passionate learner and Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Nikki has a head full of knowledge that she is keen to share! She runs a practice as well and can be found at pondernutrition.ca.
